the who.
I’m Jasmine Morvay, an Ottawa-based Certified Interior Decorator and Kitchen & Bath Designer, bringing a knowlegeable and approachable perspective to the industry. I am a proud recipient of the NKBA Thirty Under 30 award.
I blend technical expertise, with an intuitive eye for what makes your home beautiful!
Throughout a very thoughtful process, my goal is to transform everyday spaces into ones that feel harmonious, timeless, and personal. Each design I work on is a reflection of both my client’s lifestyle and preferences, and a signature KODAinteriors blend customized to the project!
My design philosophy centres on creating welcoming, lasting interiors where every material, finish, and detail is thoughtfully considered and discussed. Known for my organization, clear communication, and genuine passion for design, I always try to make the entire process (from first ideas and concepts, to the actual build phase) feel enjoyable, stress-free, and beautifully prepared and coordinated.

When first meeting someone, I am often asked, “What does K.O.D.A stand for?” And honestly, I love answering this, because it means I get to talk about my dog.
Koda has been my little sidekick for almost 17 years. She’s seen all my design ideas, every late-night brainstorm, and probably more tile and paint samples than most humans ever will!
When it came to naming my business, it only felt right to name it after such a big source of comfort, joy, and unconditional love that has shaped so much of who I am and what I bring to each and every design I am apart of.
KODAinteriors is named after her! A reminder of warmth, home, and the little things that make life so beautiful!
the why.
“The brightest colours open eyes”
My mom is one of the brightest people (inside and out) that I know! Ever since I can remember, she has been the one who opened my eyes to the world of interior design.
She decided to change careers at one point, and took night school for interior decorating. Often I helped with her homework, sitting beside her playing with her floor plan and tiny (to scale) furniture pieces. I thought it was one of the funnest puzzles ever!
Fast forward, I am in like grade 5, she is working in a decorating firm specializing in window treatments. After school, I’d spend hours at her workplace flipping through all the fabric books, thrilled when I was allowed to take home the discontinued ones. Meanwhile, at home she always involved me in her own decor ideas and DIYs and beautifully curated spaces. She encouraged my many creative outlets from art, dance, violin, piano, singing and more…to supporting me when I finally made the decision to take the leap and start KODAinteriors! To this day, she’s still a huge part of what I do. She knows every single project, contractor and client I work with (sometimes, even before they’ve agreed to work with me).
Her natural eye for design, her knowledge, drive and her heart continue to inspire me daily.
I can easily say that my mom is the reason KODA interiors exists. And the person I am looking to make proud in every project I take on!
